for
Holistic Development

The functional planning of architectural space helps to enhance campus order. Through a soft design approach, hearts and minds are nurtured positively. Whether it is in the landscaping, wall finishes, colours of the fences, campus slogans, or placement of decorations, careful considerations have been made.

Pay Fong Middle School covers an area of about ten acres, with over two thousand teachers and students in a shared space. Our school campus employs a basic design consisting of school blocks in the north, south, east, and west, forming a quadrangle pattern. The campus is supplemented with a cafeteria and a dormitory building, the Chong Fong Building, an assembly hall, as well as a multipurpose building and an information technology building, all together composing the overall campus environment.

The four school blocks in the quadrangle are the most densely occupied areas for teachers and students. To reduce the time teachers spend moving between classes, the main classrooms are distributed among the school blocks in the 4 directions or wings, with the administrative and teachers' offices placed in the corners of the ground and second floors, significantly improving the efficiency of staff in responding to emergency situations.

Green
and
Sustainable Campus

Since 2003, the board of directors and the alumni association of the School have remained committed to promoting campus greening projects, creating more green spaces within the limited campus area through planned and phased measures to cultivate positive minds and attitudes among students.

The school campus has undergone two stages of greening. The first stage of transformation mainly includes the narrow palm grove path behind the Chong Fong Building, the ‘Starlight Avenue’ under the Foxtail Palm trees adjacent to the canteen, the ‘Bamboo Arch’ between the South Wing and the Siyuan Building, the ‘Rainforest Stage’ behind the Siyuan Building, and around the Tianlai Pond and ball game fields. The second stage of transformation began in 2015, which mainly involved the construction of the Tong Bee Garden behind the Chong Fong Building, and the Fengxiang Garden beside the assembly hall.
